Porsets 1 / Outdoor Deck Tile - Lightweight Use
Elevated Porcelain Flooring
Description
Designer Deck's Porsets 1 system, is specifically intended to be used on applications that see light foot traffic. Its a weight sensitive and cost-effective solution for outdoor flooring.
Product Summary
Porcelain is a non-porous option and a wonderful addition for exterior flooring. Water will not be absorbed as with other material properties, thus creating issues around mold, mildew and fungus. Designer Deck’s Porsets 1 system is an economical, free-floating structural support system, specifically designed to hold a 3/8” thick porcelain tile only. The frame that sits beneath the tile, can be custom levelled to perfection and equipped with height bulking shoe attachments to compensate for height variance and/or additions. With minimal obstruction, it also ensures maximum breathability, water flow, versatility, and ample space to run electrical wiring, plant watering feed tubes or other materials underneath. It does not require any grout or mortar/thin set, nor does it fasten in any way to the surface upon which it’s installed. Its lightweight sub-structure inclusive of the porcelain tile, makes the system both a unique but ideal solution for foundations that are specked with lower weight load limits such as condominium balconies or weatherproofed rooftop terraces.
Available Porcelain tile colours
Note: you may also supply any porcelain style and finish of your own. It must not exceed 3/8" in thickness and is recommended to be rated for exterior use only with a textured surface, in order to avoid slippage and frost reaction. Depending on the line of tile you may choose aside from what is offered by Designer Deck, a 24" x 24" format has the ability to vary ever so slightly in length/width. We offer three sizes of spacers in order to accommodate this slight change in dimension that may or may not occur. They are designed to hold a 24-1/2", 24-5/8" & 24-9/16" L x W tile only. It is highly recommended that you consider investing upfront, in a few additional tiles in case of breakage. Although this system is rated to hold up to 400 lbs. of static weight load, porcelain is dense and can crack if something heavy and/or blunt is dropped on it. Certain finishes may become discontinued at a later date and having extra mitigates both potential issues.
